Xtream Codes on Samsung and LG smart TVs
Two routes work well: install a player from your TV's app store that accepts Xtream Codes (IBO Player is a common choice on Samsung and LG), or plug a Fire TV or Google TV stick into the TV and use any Xtream app there.
Route 1: an app on the TV itself
- Open the Samsung Apps or LG Content Store and search for an IPTV player that supports Xtream Codes.
- Install and open it. Many TV players show a device ID and ask you to add your login on their website or within the app.
- Choose the Xtream Codes login and enter your IPTV Xtream server, username and password.
Some TV player apps require a paid activation with their developer after a trial period. That payment is to the app maker, not to IPTV Xtream.
Route 2: a streaming stick
A Fire TV or Google TV stick costs little, plugs into any HDMI port and gives you the full range of Xtream apps, including TiviMate. Follow the Firestick guide.
Which route should you choose?
| TV app | Streaming stick | |
|---|---|---|
| Extra hardware | None | A stick |
| App choice | Limited | Wide |
| Speed | Depends on TV age | Usually faster |
| Possible app fee | Sometimes | Depends on the app |
FAQ
Can I use Xtream Codes on a Samsung TV?
Yes, through a player app from the Samsung store that accepts Xtream logins, such as IBO Player, or by plugging in a streaming stick.
Why does the TV app ask me to pay for activation?
Some smart TV players charge their own activation fee. That goes to the app developer and is separate from your IPTV Xtream plan.
Is a streaming stick better than the TV app?
Often, yes. Sticks like Fire TV or Google TV have more app choice, faster menus and more frequent updates than built-in TV apps.
